Hello! My name is Louisa and I'm delighted to have just taken over the running of 'Mucky Pups', from the lovely Jo, who started the classes back in April this year.
I am a qualified and experienced teacher and actress, specialising in drama, art and dance, as well as being mummy to my 1 year old son. I know I'm going to thoroughly enjoy running these sessions, as fun and creativity is exactly what I love!
It is amazing to see just how capable 18 months - 4 year olds are at different activities ... people often ask whether their little one will be able to join in and the answer is always a great big 'YES!' What ever we do, the children have a go and have fun, and it's fantastic to watch.
There are going to be one or two changes.... So as to use all our littlie's creative talents, every 4 weeks the sessions will have a different theme. For example, this Monday is to be 'Farm Animals': we will be making and painting farm yard masks, sticking fluffy cotton wool sheep, modelling cows and ducks from playdough, etc.
Now, we all know how 'dramatic' our little ones can be from time to time, so many of the items we make can be used as 'props', such as masks or hand puppets, for their own play-acting. There is an ever-increasing box of dressing-up clothes to help the drama queens come to life - an entertaining and enlightening experience for the mums and carers - and great fun for the tots!
See below, or call me for more details. Look forward to hearing from you, and meeting your mucky pup soon!
